Slavery can be painful to think about and also uncomfortable to acknowledge. However, I see that referring to people as “enslaved” gives them more power, respect, and dignity. I am sorry for the times I have used other terms, and I will work at changing my language. I want to be part of our growing awareness and of the change in our nation’s history. #blacklivesmatter #collectivehealing
